What do you think it would take to make the world a better place? If we were all just a little more grateful? Smiled more? Or perhaps if we listened to understand rather than to respond. No matter what answer you give, it all comes back around to having compassion. To not only deeply feel for another person and what they’re going through, but to want to help alleviate their suffering as well. To make a difference. But unfortunately, most of us have traded in our compassion for animosity or apathy. With so much going on in the world today, it seems as if we have become numb to the struggles of others, to those who are closest to us, and sometimes even to our own struggles. Is it possible to revive that compassionate part of ourselves in a world that seems so grim? How can we get back to playing our part in making the world a better place?
