Most people have a desire to be good and to do good, to be a positive influence in the world around them. Yet there seem to be differing opinions on what is really good. Is it a relative term, dependent on our culture and values? Is it subject to time and place, changing as history shifts our perspective? Is it the end result that matters, and not the means that were used to achieve? As our world becomes increasingly complex and diverse, as the lines between morality and immorality blur, how can we understand what is good?
